Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe’s driver, Daniel Ogoshi, was abducted on Tuesday night by unknown gunmen.
According to a family source, Ogoshi was taken from his friend’s residence in Ombi 2, College of Agric, Kwandere Road, Lafia at around 9:30 pm.
Although the Deputy Governor’s media officer, Christopher Ehima, confirmed the incident, he did not have enough details about the circumstances surrounding the abduction.
However, he expressed shock and promised that the State Government would do everything possible to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped driver.
Meanwhile, the Nasarawa Police Command spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel, stated that the police were already investigating the matter and working tirelessly to secure the release of the victim.
