Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a yet-to–be-identified senior staff of the Revenue Department at Lagos State Government House, Alausa, Ikeja.
Reports revealed that the incident occurred on Monday at the residence of the victim, popularly known as Jagaban at the Progressive Estate in Igbe-Oloja, Ikorodu.
The kidnappers were said to have established contact with the wife of the victim, demanding N20 million for his release.
It was said that a team of policemen and other security agencies hovering in and around the area searching for clues that could lead to his rescue.
Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the ugly incident but failed to provide details of the development.
“All I can tell you is that we received such a report but I cannot tell who he is. All I know is that our men are there and doing everything possible to rescue the man and apprehend the hoodlums that kidnapped him,” he said.
