A Professor of Social Science and Environmental Forestry, of the University of Ibadan, Opeyemi Ajewale has been killed by gunmen on Monday at Olororo, Ojoo Area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
It was gathered that the gunmen went away with his Toyota Corolla car. He was said to be on his way home when he was attacked around 9pm.
A fellow staff of the university confirmed the incident to newsmen said, “It’s true. He was killed last night when he was returning home at Olororo area near Ojoo. The incident happened around 9pm and they took away his car.”
The co-staff described Ajewole as a ‘pleasant person, humble and easy-going.’
