At least 100 persons have been reported injured after an hailstorm at the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre west of Denver.
According to the West Metro Fire Department, the concert goers were pelted with large hail during severe storms that moved across the area.
According to a tweet from the fire department, at least seven persons were sent to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Also the agency said that up to 90 persons were treated on the spot. Cuts and broken bones were among the injuries, it claimed.
A victim, Bella Oliveira claimed that while running from the hail that was pouring, she almost got trampled.
“I managed to hide where they were selling drinks and I used my backpack to protect myself and another girl,” she said, adding that she hurt her head and shoulder during the incident.
