Manchester City on Sunday suffered a massive setback in their league game against North London side, Tottenham Hotspur.
The Pep Guardiola side were hoping to capitalize on Arsenal loss against Everton on Saturday.
A lone goal from England International, Harry Kane, gave the Antonio Conte side the much celebrated victory.
The goal also saw Kane break his goal scoring record for Spurs as he scored his 267th goal to become the highest scorer for the club.
With the result, Spurs close to within a point of fourth placed Newcastle and two of third placed Manchester United.
Also Manchester City loss against Tottenham Hotspur gave Arsenal Football Club who are current leading the league some respite after losing their game against Everton on Saturday.
