Popular Nigerian rapper, John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales has revealed that just a call from Olamide changed his life for the better after he had gone bankrupt.
Sales who was financially bankrupt after exiting Empire Mates Entertainment, explained that his former record label refused to renew his contract because the label was not making profit from investing in him.
In a chat with media personalities, the rapper said that he got a call from the YBNL boss who said he likes his ‘Shake Body’, asking if he was not going to shoot a video.
Sales who replied that he was broke and homeless was assisted by Olamide.
He said afterwards, Olamide sent him money for the video shoot and the song went on to become a commercial success.
In his words, “My deal with them was done and they refused to continue because I wasn’t doing well at that time.
“Olamide contacted me and said he loved one of my songs, Shake Body, and asked if I wasn’t going to shoot the video.
“I told him I was homeless and couldn’t possibly shoot a video and he sent me money. My God turned my life around after that video shoot.”
