Popular Nigerian musician, Davido has revealed that the title of his less than 48 hours old album, ‘Timeless’, was coined by his colleague in the music industry, Don Jazzy.
David Adeleke, who goes by the stage name Davido said that the Mavin Records boss suggested the title to him via Instagram sometime last year.
Davido disclosed this while fielding questions about his latest project.
In a report by Daily Post, he said he almost chose a different album name but eventually settled for ‘Timeless’, as suggested by Don Jazzy.
It is unclear if the suggestion was an aftermath of Davido’s previous albums having the word ‘time’ in them.
His sophomore album was entitled ‘A Good Time’, his third studio album was named ‘A Better Time’, and his fourth and latest album is titled, ‘Timeless’.
“Funny enough, Jazzy Dmed me a year ago and suggested that I named my album ‘Timeless’”, Davido said.
However, the 17-track album featured guest appearances from Grammy award-winning Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo, British rapper, Skepta, Asake, Fave, Cavemen, and DMW’s latest signees; Morravey and Logos Olori.
Also, the album topped the Apple Music chart in over 17 countries in less than 24 hours. It peaked at number 2 on the US Apple Music chart in an African record.
