Former Arsenal captain,Thierry Henry has disclosed that he didn’t enjoy watching the team play under Arsene Wenger, adding that he only went to watch because he had to as a fan.
The 46-year-old disclosed this while speaking with The Rest is Football podcast, lamenting that five years ago he couldn’t relate to the team.
Henry said it was hard to watch the Gunners during Wenger’s latter stages and under Unai Emery.
The Arsenal legend is however happy with how the club has evolved under Mikel Arteta.
He said, “Five years ago I couldn’t relate to the team.
“I just couldn’t. I was going to the games because I had to not because I wanted to.
“It was just because I was an Arsenal fan not as I wanted to see them play. But now I can see what they’re about.”
