Popular Yoruba actor Femi Adebayo has revealed how he ran out of cash and sold some of his properties during the production of his latest movie, Jagunjagun.
Adebayo, who disclosed this while confirming how financially consuming the production of the movie was, said after spending the proceeds of his immediate last movie, Ageshinkole, and other savings on the production of Jagunjagun, he had no option but to put some of his properties on sale to ensure the success of the latest movie.
Speaking of the challenges he faced during the production of the movies, Adebayo explained that Jagun Jagun is a multi-billion-naira project, noting that he cannot say the actual budget spent on the film.
“I cannot say the exact amount I spent on shooting it. I used the proceeds of Agbeshinkole to produce Jagun Jagun. At a point, I was out of finance, and because I had faith that the project would work, I sold my properties,” he said.
The veteran actor is known for his in-depth analysis of story-telling and perfect role interpretations in his movies.
