President Bola Tinubu has officially left London, United Kingdom, after a nine-day stay and is now en route to Paris, France, where he is expected to attend a significant engagement.
This development was confirmed on Friday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and other matters, Ibrahim Kabir Masari, through a post on his verified X handle, @KabirIbrah64.
Masari shared that he had the privilege of meeting with President Tinubu at his private residence in the UK, where they engaged in meaningful discussions before heading off to Paris.
“Today, I had the honor of visiting President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu at his private residence in the United Kingdom, where we engaged in productive discussions. We then departed for Paris, France, for another important engagement,” Masari revealed in his post.
While the specifics of the President’s Paris engagement were not provided, it is widely believed to be part of his broader strategy to maximize the opportunities presented by various international engagements.
Tinubu had earlier departed Abuja on Wednesday, October 2, embarking on a two-week working vacation in the UK.
This trip forms part of his annual leave, as previously announced bySpecial Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
In a statement, Onanuga explained, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today for the United Kingdom to begin a two-week vacation, part of his yearly leave.”
The President’s leave is not just for rest but also serves as a reflective period for assessing his administration’s economic reforms.
Onanuga added, “He will use the two weeks as a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms. He will return to the country after the leave expires.”
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria once his official duties and leave conclude. His trip to Paris, though not elaborated upon, signals ongoing efforts to fortify Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic engagements abroad.
