Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has expressed profound sorrow over the demise of retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Moses Ambakina Jitoboh, who passed away in the early hours of Friday, December 27, 2024, after a brief illness.
In addition, IGP Egbetokun offered his heartfelt condolences to the family of retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police Pastor Bola Longe, who died on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
A press statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, and made available to journalists over the weekend, highlighted the illustrious careers of both officers.
Retired DIG Jitoboh served as the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Information & Communications Technology (at the Force Headquarters before retiring in 2023.
Similarly, retired AIG Bola Longe had notable tenures as the Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State and as Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Federal Operations, Force Headquarters Abuja, prior to his retirement in 2021.
“Their contributions to the Nigeria Police Force, dedication to service, and integrity can never be forgotten. The passing of these officers is a great loss, not only to their families but to the entire Nigeria Police Force,” IGP Egbetokun said.
He further stated, “On behalf of the entire officers of the Nigeria Police Force, the IGP extends his sincere condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of late Rtd. DIG Moses Jitoboh and Pastor Bola Longe (AIG Rtd.), praying for solace during this difficult time and praying that their souls rest in peace.”
