Jigawa Sate Governor, Umar Namadi, has sent his condolence to the families of students of Government Girls Arabic Secondary School Kaugama who died in ghastly road accident while travelling home for vacation.
Taking to his official X page, Namadi prayed for the families and loved ones of the students.
”Governor Namadi’s thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families during this difficult time, as he fervently hopes for Allah’s mercy and patience to be bestowed upon them”, the message read.
The Governor also expressed his concern for the injured students, while praying for their quick recovery and strength during this challenging period.
The tragic incident, which unfolded along the Jahun/Kiyawa road in Jigawa State, claimed the lives of three students and left 14 others wounded.
State Police Command has confirmed the death of the three students in a tragic accident.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Lawan Adam, confirmed the incident in a statement issued to newsmen on Sunday.
He explained that the incident, which occurred on March 15, 2024, involved a Sharon Galaxy vehicle driven by one Rabi’u Abdullahi, 50, of Babaldo town in the Gwaram Local Government Area of the state.
“The accident occurred on March 15, 2024, involving a Sharon Galaxy vehicle heading to Gwaram when the incident happened,” he said.
