The Jigawa State Governor, Badaru Abubakar on Wednesday presented the sum N178,576,000,000 before the state Assembly.
According to Daily Post, the budget is tagged “Budget of Consolidation for Sustainable Socioeconomic Development – II”
It was also gathered that the slightly over the 2022 Original Budget by only about 0.4%.
However, the proposed 2023 budget is nearly 10% less than the total appropriations for 2022 after accounting for Supplementary Appropriations of N20.279 billion.
According to the Governor, “the sum of N56.54b allocated to Personnel Cost, N89.4 billion is earmarked for capital investments which are about half of the total proposed budget.
“Also, about N25.43 billion was allocated for Overheads and Other Recurrent Expenditures meant to take care of routine operations of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies and other major recurrent expenditure.”
He also added that the proposed budget for Education and Health Sectors amounted to about N61.2 billion and N28.9 billion respectively.
