The remains of late JohnPaul Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, have arrived in his hometown, Ukehe Igbo-etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The burial is currently ongoing, with many Nollywood personalities in attendance.
The funeral mass is being officiated by Rt Rev Godfrey Onah, Bishop of Nsukka Catholic Diocese.
Junior Pope died in April after the boat he boarded on his way from a movie location capsized on Anam River in Anambra State.
The burial arrangements began on April 23 with a requiem mass at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish in Asaba, Delta State.
Another requiem mass was held at Christ the King Catholic Parish, G.R.A., Enugu, on May 13.
An evening of tributes and candlelight followed at Amadeo Event Centre in Enugu on May 14.
A wake was held on May 16 at his country home in Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, a community in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of the state .
Junior Pope was buried on May 17 at his country home after a burial mass at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe.
Interment followed immediately after the burial of the actor.
A final thanksgiving mass will be held on May 20 at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church, Ukehe.
