A new Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ebony Eyibio Ebong as resumed duty to take charge of Zone 17 covering Ondo and Ekiti States.
He assumed duty in Akure, the Ondo state capital, the headquarters of the new Zone.
Ebong is the 6th AIG to take charge of the zone.
According to a release by the zonal spokesperson, Akeem Adeoye says the new AIG is and indigene of Nkim Itam, Itu LGA of Akwa Ibom State.
The statement reads” This is to inform the public that AIG Ebong Eyibio Ebong psc(+), FCPA, mni has assumed duty as the 6th Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Zone.
“The new AIG is an indigene Nkim Itam, ITU LGA of Akwa Ibom State.”
