Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, has expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the family, members of the Hausa film industry and Kwara State Government over the demise of a veteran actor, Usman Baba Pategi, better known as Samanja Mazan Fama.
Kabir-Yuduf sent his condolence message in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature, on Sunday.
The Governor cited that late Pategi’s character in the Samanja Mazan Fama series symbolized discipline, resilience and moral standards for socio-cultural and national development.
He then called on all the stakeholders in the Hausa film industry to follow the foot steps of late Samanja of national unity, religious and cultural promotions towards promoting peace and tranquillity in Northern Nigeria and beyond.
In the statement the Governor said, “We wish to condole with the Pategi Emirate, the good people and government of Kwara State over the demise of the Hausa film icon (Samanja).”
