The eight employees of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, kidnapped last week in Lagos have regained freedom.
According to The Nation, spokesman for the Lagos Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the release of the oil workers today, Monday.
Hundeyin however did not say any arrest was made, declining further comments on the issue.
The victims were released on Sunday night at the Sangotedo area of Lagos State.
It was however unclear if ransom was paid for their freedom.
The oil workers were abducted around 6pm on last Monday while on a private boat from Lagos Island to Lekki.
Their abductors were said to have whisked them into their boat, leaving behind the oil workers’ boat with their personal belongings.
