Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, has appointed an additional 1,192 aides, marking a significant expansion in his administration’s team.
According to The PUNCH, the announcement was made public on Monday through a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Folashade Ayoade.
The newly appointed aides encompass a variety of roles. Yakubu Abdulhakeem has been named the Executive Secretary of the Kogi State Office for Disability, reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusivity.
Furthermore, the Governor has appointed 165 Senior Special Assistants and 36 Special Assistants, enhancing the administrative support within the state.
Additionally, the statement detailed the appointment of 574 Ward Special Assistants and 290 Local Government Special Assistants, indicating a widespread effort to bolster grassroots governance across Kogi State.
In a related development, Governor Ododo has also approved the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulsadiq as the Director of Protocol in the First Lady’s Office, along with several other aides to support various functions within the administration.
Ododo extended his congratulations to all the newly appointed individuals, urging them to dedicate themselves to serving the state and making meaningful contributions to the welfare of its citizens. Dr. Ayoade emphasized that these appointments will officially take effect on September 1, 2024.
