Liverpool will be without Ibrahima Konate for their Premier League clash with Manchester City at Anfield this Sunday.
City, coming off a 3-3 draw with Feyenoord in the Champions League, will visit Liverpool hoping to bounce back. However, Konate will miss the match due to an injury sustained towards the end of Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The French defender is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks. Sharing his frustration, Konate posted on social media: “So frustrating to pick up this injury. Now we start the recovery process. But one thing I promise is I will come back and be the best I can be once again.”
Liverpool, currently aiming for a win, will be hoping to extend their lead over City to 11 points with a victory.
