A man simply identified as Abdullahi has been reportedly killed by cultists in Ilorin, Kwara State on Wednesday by suspected cultists in preparation for 7/7 anniversary.
The incident occurred at Ile-Kewu, Oke-Apomu quarters of the Ilorin metropolis at about 9 pm, according to Daily Post.
The report has it that the cultists had targeted the elder brother of the deceased, Ibrahim, but met Abdullahi, the younger brother, and shot him dead.
The deceased was reportedly buried on Thursday morning at the Muslim cemetery in Ilorin off Asa Dam road.
However, the state police spokesperson, on Thursday said that “the command has no report of the incident.”
He maintained that the DPO in charge of the coverage area has not made the report yet.
“The DPO of ‘C’ Division that covers the area reported no such incident in the area please,” he said.
