Alexander Sørloth came off the bench to score a late header, securing Atlético Madrid a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Getafe in LaLiga on Sunday.
This win marked their 11th consecutive triumph in all competitions.
With 38 points from 17 matches, Atlético now share the top spot in LaLiga with Barcelona, moving ahead of Real Madrid, who sit third with 37 points.
Barcelona are set to face struggling Leganes later on Sunday.
Atlético, having won every game since late October, were pushed to work hard for the breakthrough, which came in the 69th minute through a combination of two substitutes.
Full-back Nahuel Molina sent in a cross from the right wing, finding the unmarked Sørloth at the far post. The Norwegian striker’s header left goalkeeper David Soria with no chance.
