Over 100 legal officials from Grade Level 13 and above in the state public sector are currently enrolled in a three-day training workshop by the Lagos State Government.
The officials will receive training in governance and legal concepts as part of the state government’s learning and development strategy.
The training started on Tuesday, July 18, according to a statement from the Ministry of Establishments and Training, and it will complete on Thursday, July 20.
During his address at the training venue in Ikeja, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Establishments and Training, Mr. Olawale Musa, urged participants to fully assimilate the knowledge gained from the training programme, which focused on improving legal and governance skills for lawyers employed by the Lagos State Ministry of Justice.
He said, “Every training programme presents opportunities for participants to learn and take away something new.”
Musa encouraged them to take new knowledge away from the training programme even though he was confident they would learn anything new from it because such knowledge might come in handy in the future.
The Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Mrs. Titilayo Shitta-Bey-Jeje, praised the Ministry of Establishments and course for conducting the course.
