American comedian, Mike Epps may have serious legal issues to deal with as authorities in his native state claim to have discovered a loaded gun in one of his luggage at an airport, according to information obtained by TMZ.
Legal documents acquired by TMZ states that when police were called to a firearms investigation on Sunday at the Indianapolis Airport, TSA officials informed them that the pistol had been discovered when Mike was passing through the security checkpoint.
The documents states that the comedian claimed that he was was in town for a show and that he had forgotten the piece was in his bag.
Police said that during their inquiry they discovered a.38 Special Airweight loaded with four bullets, but empty in the chamber.
The weapon and ammunition were all taken as proof.
Epps wasn’t detained, according to officials with the Indianapolis Airport police, but the complaint was sent to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office so they could decide whether to bring charges.
TMZ reported that Epps has not responded to requests for comment as of yet.
