American singer and songwriter, Madonna, has been admitted to the hospital and intubated in the Intensive Care Unit after being discovered unresponsive in New York on Saturday.
According to Daily Mail, the incident has been confirmed by her manager, Guy Oseary, was stated that she was suffering from a ‘serious bacterial infection’ that required a long stay in the ICU.
Madonna has been forced to postpone her highly anticipated 40th anniversary tour due to her medical issues.
Oseary stated that the mother of six is anticipated to recover completely and that her health is improving.
Oseary said, “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU,’ he wrote on Wednesday afternoon.
“Her health is improving, however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.
“At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”
Madonna’s manager has assured her fans that he will provide additional information, including a revised start date for the tour and rescheduled shows.
