Kylian Mbappe is set to be one of the marquee names in LaLiga next season following his official unveiling as a Real Madrid player this week.
However, despite his high profile, he will not be the league’s top earner.
The French captain was introduced to a packed Bernabeu stadium after joining the Spanish giants on a free transfer earlier this summer.
While Mbappe, Real Madrid’s latest star acquisition, is not the highest-paid player in La Liga, he commands the highest salary at the Bernabeu, surpassing both Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham.
After his medical on Tuesday, following the conclusion of Euro 2024 where he helped France reach the semi-finals, Mbappe’s salary details emerged.
As reported by The Sun, the 25-year-old’s earnings trail those of two Barcelona players in the league.
Frenkie de Jong is LaLiga’s top earner with an annual wage of £31.6 million.
De Jong’s team-mate Robert Lewandowski is in second place on a reported £28.2m.
Following them is Mbappe, earning £26.3m per season.
