Carlo Ancelotti has included star signing Kylian Mbappe in Real Madrid’s squad for their La Liga opener against RCD Mallorca, set to take place this Sunday at Son Moix.
As Real Madrid embarks on their title defense, all eyes are on Mbappe, who will be making his highly anticipated La Liga debut after a stellar performance in the UEFA Super Cup, where he found the net against Atalanta earlier this week.
Ahead of the journey to Palma, Ancelotti revealed his squad selection, which features several key players.
In addition to Mbappe, Brazilian wonderkid Endrick has earned his first La Liga call-up and is poised to make his debut for Los Blancos.
However, Real Madrid will be missing some crucial players for the trip to Mallorca.
Both David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga are absent, dealing a blow to Ancelotti’s defensive and midfield options.
Despite these absences, there are some notable inclusions, such as Jesús Vallejo, who returns to the squad following a loan spell at Granada, and 19-year-old defensive prospect Jacobo Ramon, who has been registered with La Liga under a reserve team number.
Meanwhile, despite training with the senior squad, youngsters Nico Paz, Diego Pineiro, and Illia Voloshyn did not make the final cut for the matchday squad.
Real Madrid heads into this fixture with momentum on their side, having secured a 2-0 victory over Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.
