The finalists for the most prestigious individual award in international football have been announced, with the ceremony set to take place in Paris on October 30.
Seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi, who led Argentina to a World Cup title in 2022 and Erling Haaland, treble-winner with Manchester City last season were two of the highlights in the nominations for the men’s best players.
Karim Benzema, the winner in 2022, is also on the list.
