World Cup Winner, Lionel Messi, set five Guinness World Records during the just concluded FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
This was disclosed by the Guinness World Records via its website following the conclusion of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament last weekend.
The five Guinness World Records are:
Most Man of the Match awards won at the FIFA World Cup (11); the first person to assist at five different FIFA World Cups; Most FIFA World Cup appearances as captain (19); Most appearances in FIFA World Cup tournaments by a player (male, 5) and Most FIFA World Cup matches played by a player (26).
In addition to the five records, the Guinness Book of World Records announced on Tuesday that Messi’s Instagram post has over 62 million likes, making it the most-liked post in Instagram history.
It would also be recalled that Messi led Argentina to win this year’s World Cup when they beat France 4-2 on penalties in the final on Sunday.
