The head of Marlian Music, Naira Marley, and showbiz figure Sam Larry, have been granted bail following their weeks-long detention in connection with the death of singer Aloba Promise, known by the stage name “Mohbad.”
This was disclosed by social media influencer, Oloye T.D, through his X account on Monday morning.
“Sam Larry and Naira Marley granted bail with 3 sureties with 20m each.They are to deposit their international passport and report at State CID every Tuesday.
“The magistrate warns that if anyone calls her number, it will be recorded and played in the open court”, he tweeted.
It was gathered that in order to secure their release, they must provide three sureties, each guaranteeing a substantial sum of 20 million naira.
The court has also mandated them to surrender their international passports and appear weekly at the State Criminal Investigation Department as part of their bail conditions.
The presiding magistrate cautioned that any attempts to directly contact her would be documented and could be disclosed in open court proceedings.
