In what has been described as a twist in the ongoing transfer period in England, Ecuadorian international, Moises Caicedo rejected a move to Liverpool.
While it was reported that the Brighton midfielder was set to complete a move to Liverpool late Thursday evening, it has been gathered that Caicedo has disclosed that he prefers a move to the North London side, Chelsea.
Recall that PUNCH METRO had reported that Liverpool Manager, Jurgen Klopp confirmed on Friday reports that the Reds had agreed a club-record deal to land the Ecuadorian from Brighton.
Popular Italian Football Journalist, Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the development on Friday.
“Moisés Caicedo told Liverpool that he only wants to join Chelsea.
“Liverpool had £110m deal agreed with Brighton as confirmed by Klopp — but not yet on personal terms.
“Caicedo has just informed Liverpool and Klopp that he wants to join Chelsea despite medical tests booked.
“Caicedo will not travel to Liverpool in the next hours as Chelsea are now expected to bid again very soon. One of the most incredible transfer sagas ever,” he tweeted.
