The Nigeria Football Federation has announced the appointment of Danlami Alanana as the new Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria National League.
Alanana takes over from Dr. Ayo Abdulrahaman, who has been reassigned to handle Inter-Club Competitions within the NFF.
With a rich background in football administration, Alanana brings extensive experience to the role.
He was previously the first Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Women’s Football League and has held several key positions within the NFF, including Secretary for the Referees Committee Unit, the Players and Status Arbitration Committee, and the Match Commissioners Appointment Committee.
Before assuming his current position as COO, Alanana was the Head of the Inter-Clubs Department.
His career in Nigerian football also saw him work alongside prominent figures like Late Chief Oyuiki Obaseki, Charles Ojugbana, Alhassan Yakmut, and Saliu Abubakar, contributing significantly to the development of the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The NNL resumed its second stanza on Friday, with additional matches scheduled for Saturday and Sunday across the country.
However, the match between Kebbi United and Yobe Desert Stars has been postponed due to a tragic auto crash involving the Yobe Desert Stars.
