The Nigeria Football Federation’s Refereeing Development Unit has taken disciplinary action against centre referee Haruna Abdullahi, suspending him from officiating any further matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
This decision follows Abdullahi’s handling of the matchday 34 encounter between Doma United and Lobi Stars, held at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe on Saturday.
Doma United secured a 1-0 victory, a result mired in controversy due to the winning goal being scored from an offside position.
Lobi Stars lodged a formal complaint with the NPFL, prompting the suspension. The Jigawa Football Federation has been informed of this decision.
