The Super Eagles fell 14 points to 40th place from 35th in the world in the December ranking.

Morocco, on the other hand, kept their top spot on the continent and 11th place in the world thanks to a strong run. Senegal is in second place. They moved up one spot to 18th in the world.
Tunisia stayed as the third-best team in Africa and 28th in the world. Algeria, on the other hand, jumped over Egypt to become the fourth-best team in Africa and moved up six spots in the world to be ranked 34th. Egypt moved up four spots and is now ranked 35th in the world and fifth in Africa.
