Popular fillmmaker and former Vice President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria Frank Igho Okpokoro Vaughan, is dead.
The President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria, Dr. Victor Okhai, confirmed the sad news of his death on Wednesday.
Vaughan died in Warri, Delta State, on Tuesday after battling with an undisclosed illness.
Okhai said, “Yes, he died yesterday, but I’m yet to get the details of his death,” Okhai said.
Vaughan, a seasoned movie director, played a vital role in shaping the Nigerian movie industry and mentoring aspiring filmmakers.
He was a seasoned TV producer and director as well as a current affairs and political analyst.
Vaughan, who was born in the1960s, was lately a pastor at Dominion City Church, Asaba, Delta State.
