Nigerian-American woman, Amanda Azubuike, has been promoted from Lieutenant Colonel to Brigadier General of the United States Army for her outstanding qualities.
The commanding general of the US Army Futures Command, General James E. Rainey, celebrated her previous feats while conferring the honour.
Newly promoted Azubuike was born in London, immigrated to the US, settled in Arkansas, and enlisted in the army where she served as an aviator, personal assistant to commanding officers both in and out of combat, and a public affairs officer.
