The Office of the National Security Adviser has dismissed allegations that the National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, facilitated the return of the deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, to the state on Saturday.
According to The PUNCH, the spokesperson for the ONSA, Zakari Mijinyawa, described the claim as “untrue” and clarified that Ribadu did not provide the aircraft that brought Ado-Bayero back to Kano.
Earlier, the Kano State Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo, had accused Ribadu of providing two jets to transport the deposed Emir to Kano, expressing confusion about the intention behind the move.
However, Mijinyawa categorically denied the allegation, stating, “The NSA did not provide air transport to anyone to Kano.”
The ONSA spokesperson also cautioned political actors to be mindful of their statements, as they could potentially undermine the efforts of security agencies working to maintain peace and order in the state.
“Political actors should desist from misinforming the public as law enforcement officials in the state strive to maintain peace and order,” he warned.
