“They were looking for dialysis machines to be sent to his secret location in Lagos last week,” Vanguard reported.
PUNCH METRO reported that after a three-month medical absence in Germany, the governor, who returned to Nigeria in September, subsequently embarked on another medical leave.
President Bola Tinubu directed him to transfer authority to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who has been serving as acting governor during his absence.
Upon his return to Nigeria, Akeredolu attempted to govern his state from Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, prompting public backlash.
