The Management of Yaba College of Technology has suspended the ongoing student week of the institution.
The suspension followed the death of an ex-student of the institution who was shot dead on the school’s premises on Wednesday.
The incident was attributed to cult-related killings being witnessed in the institution lately.
It would be recalled that a Higher National Diploma I student of the institution was gunned down on September 15.
Also, a final-year student identified as Bello Adisa was killed in the same month in a similar manner.
Meanwhile, another undergraduate said to be of the institution identified as Kunle was reportedly gunned down while watching a football match at the school’s Sports Complex.
But reacting to Wednesday’s incident, the school management through a press statement suspended the ongoing student week.
“Following the ugly incidents of a gunshot in the college by unruly personalities earlier today, which resulted in the death of a student, the college management has directed the ongoing student week activities be suspended immediately,” the statement read.
