Victor Osimhen’s future at Napoli hangs in the balance as the Super Eagles’ forward is keen to make a move to the Premier League this summer.
The Nigerian star and reigning African Footballer of the Year is anticipated to leave the dethroned Serie A champions in the coming months.
Renowned transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, has shared that the 25-year-old is eager for a new challenge, with England’s top flight as his favoured destination.
“Victor Osimhen’s plan is still to leave Napoli this summer as movement is expected soon,” Romano stated on X. “After a quiet June, Napoli expect proposals to arrive for Osimhen as he could be on the move; the release clause is around €120m.”
Despite strong interest from the Premier League, Osimhen is also attracting attention from other top clubs.
It was learnt that Paris Saint-Germain, the Ligue 1 champions, are eyeing Osimhen to bolster their attack following Kylian Mbappe’s departure.
As the summer transfer window progresses, Osimhen’s next move remains uncertain while Napoli waits for concrete offers.
Interestingly, the Saudi Pro League’s Al Ahli has emerged as a serious contender, willing to meet Napoli’s hefty €120m, £101m, release clause.
This development positions Al Ahli ahead of long-time Premier League suitors in the race for the Super Eagles striker.
