Super Eagles international and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has been ranked as the third most valuable striker in the world.
This is according to Transfermarkt, a source for football news, rumours about transfers, and statistics, in their most recent report on strikers throughout the globe.
On the list of the most valuable strikers, Osimhen of Napoli is placed third, after only Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, and Kylian Mbappé, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain, are tied for first place as the most valuable footballers and strikers in the world, each worth €180 million.
Haaland was valued at €170 million in January, but his value increased by €10 million after winning the treble and the golden boot in his maiden season in the Premier League. Although he and Mbappé have the same value, he is ranked first since he is two years younger than Mbappé.
Osimhen’s third-place finish comes as no surprise, considering he scored 26 goals in 32 games for Napoli in 2022–23 and was named Serie A’s Capocannoniere.
Since Lautaro Martinez (Italy, Inter) is ranked fifth and is worth €85 million, and Mohamed Salah (Egypt, Liverpool) is ranked sixth and is worth €65 million, Osimhen is the top ranked striker in Africa and in the Serie A.
Harry Kane (England/Tottenham) is ranked fourth with a value of €90 million, and Kolo Muani (France/Frankfurt) and Christopher Nkunku (France/Chelsea) are ranked sixth and eighth, respectively, with values of €80 million.
The top 10 is completed by Gabriel Jesus (Brazil/Arsenal), Alexander Isak (Sweden/Newcastle), Dusan Vlahovic (Serbia/Juventus), and both players are valued at €70 million.
