The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye has vowed that the killers of a pastor in the town will not go scot-free.
The monarch gave the assurance Monday evening whlie addressing the residents of the ancient city
A pastor, identified as Evangelist Segun Adegboyega, was killed by some people suspected to be herdsmen who invaded his farm.
The incident was said to have occurred at the deceased’s farm located at Gege village, along Ogbomoso-Iseyin road on Monday.
Reports revealed that three people have been arrested in connection with the killing of the pastor.
It was learnt that the three suspects have been moved into the custody of the Owode Police headquarters.
Speaking to the residents, Oba Olaoye, assured the family of the clergyman that he will ensure justice is done.
The monarch promised that he would work with security agents to get justice for the family of the deceased.
He said, “As your father, I wish to say, this is an ugly situation and it’s uncalled for.
“I have spoken my mind to the Area Commander (of Owode Police headquarters), who is here with me and I want to assure you that justice would be served.
“I equally sympathize with every one of you, may God continue to watch over you and the entire land of Ogbomoso.”
