The Oyo State police command has arrested suspects in connection with the death of a nurse identified as Omoniyi Boluwatife who was found dead after leaving a club house in Ibadan on Friday.
The development was confirmed by the state commissioner of police, Adebola Hamzat.
According to the commissioner, investigation is ongoing,”We have only one incident and that’s the death of the nurse, the lady who left the club house area to where she was finally found to have died.
“That’s to the knowledge of the command
But the one from Olubadan I also read it from the pages of newspaper we are going to him this morning we’re going to confirm because that is not reported to us.
“We have not seen any corpses that prove the authenticity of that but as Olubadan surely maybe some people must have told him, then if the location is wrongly made then we will know when we get to him
We will not be able to be on that.
“But for the nurse we’re very much on it we have some suspects arrested and we’re still investigating”.
Punch Metro had reported that the nurse, identified as Omoniyi Boluwatife, was found dead and her body evacuated by the police.
According to reports, Boluwatife, a graduate of Lead City University, was on Tuesday inducted into the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
She had reportedly gone to celebrate her recent induction into the nursing profession at a nightclub on Tuesday night before she was later found dead.
