After months of total blackout, the Pakistani government has, today, began to restore power to the city.
The power failure was as an aftermath of breakdown in the grid.
The power outage had weakened the infrastructure of the heavily indebted nation.
An enquiry was launched at the early hours of today in Pakistan, Reuters reported that homes were still without electricity this evening.
The Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir tweeted that authorities had started restoring power across the country.
Though this is not the first power outage in the last three months, the energy minister assured that they will overcome the huddles of blackouts nearly 220 million Pakistans suffer on an almost-daily basis.
