Banyana Banyana of South Africa goalkeeper, Kaylin Swart, has expressed confidence that if they play as a team her side will secure a place at the 2024 Olympic Games ahead of their perennial rivals Nigeria.
Swart made the disclosure while speaking with CAFonline ahead of their tie with the Super Falcons at MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday.
The two African giants are battling for one of Africa’s two tickets for Paris 2024.
The two-legged qualifier is expected to be a highly tactical and scintillating encounter.
Swart is however hopeful the reigning African champions will win the battle.
“Playing against Nigeria is always a great battle, we are familiar with each other only because we have had battles for many years up until now and this one is no different.
“I have full confidence in my teammates, and I think if we just stick to our strengths as a team and play for each other, we will get the results we need,” she said
