Travelling activities have been disrupted at the Muritala International Airport in Lagos, as members of the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress, have taken over the facility, following the industrial action, they embarked on.
Reports revealed that passengers have been left stranded at the Airport, due to the action of the two labour unions.
A travel advisory issued to the travellers, by Air Peace Airline, informed passengers of the disruption in their operations by the labour unions.
However, the report also revealed that the disruption will affect the travel plans of various passengers and the airline, thereby asking for understanding.
“We hereby notify the flying public that the industrial action being embarked upon by members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NPC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) is currently disrupting our operations at the Lagos Airport, leading to flight disruptions across our network.
“While we monitor this unforeseen development and hope things return to normal soon, we regret the impact of the disruptions on the travel plans of our passengers and plead for their understanding,” the advisory stated.
