The Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, recently extended his condolences to the family of the late CEO of Access Bank Holdings, Herbert Wigwe.
The octogenarian clergyman shared pictures of his visit on his Facebook page, where he was seen accompanied by prominent figures such as the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and renowned businessman Aliko Dangote.
During his visit, Pastor Adeboye expressed his heartfelt sympathies to the grieving family, offering them comfort and support during this difficult time.
Pastor Adeboye wrote, “In heartfelt solidarity a visit filled with warmth offering condolences to Pastor and Mrs. Shyngle Wigwe on the loss of their beloved son, his wife and grandson who passed away over the weekend.
“May his memory be a source of comfort in these difficult times to the Family and RCCG City of David Family in Jesus name.”
Herbert Wiwge died in an helicopter crash in the US along with his wife, son and the former group chairman of Nigeria Exchange Group Plc, Mr Abimbola Ogunbanjo on Friday February 9.
It would be recalled that the pastor of City of David Parish of Redeemed Christian Church of God, Idowu Iluyomade has recounted how the late Group Managing Director of Access Bank, Mr Herbert WIgwe impacted the church and how he blessed many lives when he was alive.
Iluyomade in a video shared online recalled the contribution of the late banker to the building of the Trinity Tower of the church.
He said of Wigwe, “We spent a lot of time together. He comes to the house to pray . He comes to the office to pray. We discuss a lot of things. The Bible says the only thing that follows when we pass on is our good works. This is so so unexpected. He was with us last week. He has over time amassed good works that we know in this church and I am sure he does good works all over.”
