Manchester City’s Manager Pep Guardiola and AS Roma Coach, Jose Mourinho will be seeking to further cement their names as of one of the world best Coaches of the 21st century.
In a thrilling game in Seville, which was decided by Erik Lamela’s header five minutes into extra-time, Jose Mourinho’s Roma will take on perennial Europa League champions Sevilla in the final in Budapest in two weeks’ time.
The Portuguese is leading Roma to make it back-to-back European titles after winning the Europa Conference League last season.
The 60-year-old, who won the second-tier European club competition in 2017 with Manchester United, led Roma to the Europa Conference League title last season.
In an interview with Skysport, he said, “My concern isn’t marking my place in the Roma history books
“It’s helping these kids [players] to grow, to achieve important things. It’s also helping the Roma fans, who have given me so much since day one. It’s an immense joy to get to another final,” he added.
Also Pep Guardiola will be hoping to win this seasons’ champions league trophy after losing against Chelsea in his last champions league final with Manchester City.
He is also one of only eight coaches to have taken charge of 100 or more games in Europe’s top club competition since it took on its current form in 1992/93, with Ancelotti the only active manager still above him.
