The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), attended his final Armed Forces Remembrance Day as Nigeria’s number one citizen.
Buhari arrived at at the National Arcade, the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance venue at 10:05 am and was immediately ushered onto the saluting base for the National Salute.
He also inspected the guards of Honour, accompanied by the Commander Guards Brigade after which he proceeded to the Cenotaph for the wreath-laying ceremony proper.
In attendance are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Defense Staff, Service Chiefs, Chief Justice of Nigeria, members of the Federal Executive Council, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the President’s Chief of Staff, Permanent Secretaries, amongst others.
