The Super Eagles’ 25-man squad has returned to the Federal Capital Territory after securing a second-place finish in the recently concluded African Cup of Nations final.
Unfortunately, Nigeria suffered a 2-1 defeat against the host nation, Cote D’Ivoire, at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on Sunday.
Key players such as Alex Iwobi, Ahmed Musa, Victor Osimhen, Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, Kenneth Omeruo, Joe Aribo, and Williams Trost Ekong were welcomed at a breakfast event currently taking place at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja.
The welcome gathering also includes members of the coaching crew.
Despite their loss in the final, the Super Eagles’ performance throughout the tournament demonstrated their outstanding skills and determination.
While they fell just short of clinching the championship, their impressive campaign has undoubtedly left a lasting impact.
