Two National Youth Service Corps members, Omowo Favour and Esther Aderutu, who were deployed to Ogun State, recently secured land ownership as a result of their victory in a pageantry competition held at the orientation camp in Sagamu.
This was disclosed through the official Facebook page of the National Youth Service Corps, Ogun State, in Saturday.
The photos were captioned, “The duo of .Omowo Emmanuel Favour OG/23C/2580 and Esther Fasina Aderutu OG/23C/1590 who represented Platoon 10 at the Ankara Couples Night organised by NYSC Ogun State for the 2023 Batch C stream two Corps Members deployed to the State are now proud land owners for winning the pageantry as both of them got 150 square meter of land #25,000 each.
“The event sponsored by Adbond Homes which was held at the parade ground of the Sagamu Orientation Camp is meant to promote Nigeria’s rich dress culture with the Ankara fabric.
“Speaking at the event while also adorning the Ankara attire in a colourful style, the State Coordinator, Mrs Nasamu Olayinka Diana, enjoined the Corps Members not to deviate from our cultural values, adding that they should maintain all the inherent traditional values such as; dressing, language, respect and many more as it relates to the Nigerian culture.
“At the end of the event, the two representatives of platoon 4 who came second got a Table Top Gas Cooker each as prize while Platoon 9 representatives got a pressing Iron each for coming 3rd.”
